Project Overview

FreshRoute is a web application designed to connect small-scale farmers directly with local restaurants. Built with React and Node.js, the platform allows farmers to list available produce and restaurants to place orders in real time.

The project challenged me to integrate real-time inventory tracking, a payment simulation, and a responsive design that works on both desktop and tablet. It was my capstone project and the first full-stack application I built from scratch.

I remember staring at a blank code editor on day one thinking I’d never build anything real. Six months later, I was demoing FreshRoute to a panel of mentors. That moment changed how I see myself.
